- The chamois is a goat-antelope and are native to mountainous regions of Europe, parts of Turkey, and the south island of New Zealand
- It is almost extinct
- Their horns only grow in the summer
- They can grow up to 30 inches and 110 lb.
- You can tell how old they are by looking at the rings on their horns
- Their coat turns dark brown in the summertime and light gray in the wintertime
- They can live up to 20 years
- Adults males don't live in herds while the younger ones live with their mothers in herds
- They are hunted for their meat and leather
